Getting up at the crack of noon, "hey I am on vacation so back off"...
A walk in the Royal Gardens with a view of the Palacio Real
We are still not sure what was going on, but while walking through a park, we stumbled into a group of Madrilenos dancing. There was a small band fronted by the dude below, leading a random group of people in dance, in the middle of a park. Of course we joined in... seemed perfectly rational at the time.
The coolest city emblem, a bear eating berries from a berry bush...
Quick hello to our friend Senorita Marcella, the belle of Plaza Mayor...
A relaxing row across El Estanque (the big lake) in Retiro Park...
As night begins to fall, it is off to a tapas bar (and I triple checked, absolutely no poles and no dancers).
Every single night, the Madrilenos are out in force, walking, eating, greeting neighbors, taking in the city's sights and sounds... the Spainish actually have a word for it... Paseo.
We finally call it a night at 1am and the streets are still buzzing. Madrid is definitely our kinda town...
