Scratch this one off the List

When one thinks of Egypt, the Pyramids immediately come to mind... the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. As cheesy and ridiculously touristy as the whole affair has become, it simply must be done.
We decided not to fight it, but just right on in... hiring 2 camels, 2 horses and a guide.

Just another day, hauling fat tourists to the damn Pyramids, and get that damn camera out of my face!!!

The Pyramids sit on the Giza plateau, originally 20 km outside the city, however the city continues to grow and encroach...

The money shot... this is why we came to Egypt...

Look mom, the Pyramids!!!

I know... we are "Walking Like Egyptians" 20 years after the damn song...

I am not sure what freakish Egyptian photo curse happened upon this photo, but Ryan and I look ridiculous.
Heather and Helen looking regal, sitting upon their camels...
Tiny Riad, sitting on my tiny pony, waiting for Heather to put me in her pocket.
Bloated Ryan, well better said in song... "fat guy on a little horse, fat guy on a little horse"

Heather and Helen + wind swept desert + camels = awesome...

Sun setting behind the Great Pyramid of Cheops, with two camel riders looking on... classic, timeless

Head of a man, body of a lion, no not a "Ma-ion"... a Sphinx

Sing with me now... "fat guy on a little horse, fat guy on a little horse"

The Pyramids at Giza far exceeded our expectations. They are stunning to behold.
Incredible acheivement by todays standards, unbelieveable achievement, given they were built 5000 years ago.
