Travelling Tur-duc-ken

It was with heavy heart that we bid our dear friends Steve and Kasia goodbye, and were off to Paris.

The original plan was to rockstar travel our way into Paris on the EuroStar train, but due to the aforementioned English blizzard of 2010, the EuroStar delayed all trains for a few days, plus all flights out of Gatwick and Stanstead (primary London airports serving European travel) were cancelled, which left us little choice but the bus.

It was kinda cool, with the bus crossing the English Channel in a rail car through the Chunnel.
A veritable transportation Tur-duc-ken... people, stuffed in a bus, stuffed in a train, stuffed in a concrete tunnel through the English Channel.

Nine, not entirely comfortable, hours later, we stumbled into our tiny guest house in the Marais neighbourhood in central Paris...
