After knocking sand out from every orifice in our bodies, we headed back to Bahariya to catch the bus back to Cairo. The bus into the oasis was not great, like an old Greyhound, with a few too many trips under her belt, but we dealt.
The bus that pulled up to take us back was NOT the old Greyhound...

When the last guy climb on board, we had a total of 18 people plus 1 baby in a FREAKIN minivan... even the guys in JackAss wouldn't try such an outrageous stunt.
It was going to be a very very long 6 hours. I ended up snagging the fold out aisle seat, which was effectively a piece of metal with a cloth over top... good bye fantastic ass.
It was an absolutely miserable ride back, with everyone, Egyptian, Australian, Heather and I all bitching and moaning equally... the one person who smiled and laughed through it all? Beautiful little Farah...

We said goodbye to our new Aussie mates, who most definitely have a place to crash, anytime they decide to visit Southern California.
