Orcs on the Champs-Eylsees

More highlights of sightseeing in Paris.

The famed left bank of the Siene near the Latin Quarter...

Deep within the Latin Quarter (so named because of the schools once located here that taught in Latin, NOT because there is great salsa dancing at night... we found this out the hard way).

The Left Bank cafes and bars is where poets and writers for years, have found inspiration... add another to that list.

Paris is incredible for many reasons, one of which is the amount of art everywhere, such as this NeoClassic sculpture of St. Michel casting Satan out of Heaven... found on a traffic island on a random intersection.

Arc de Triomphe, Napoleon´s gift to himself after kicking Europe´s collective ass at the Battle of Austerlitz, bathed in light...

Champs-Eylsees, decked out with Christmas lights...

Walking down the this famous aveune, known for the most exclusive brands, Prada, Mont Blanc, Mercedes... we stumble into a mad crowd, gathered around a count down clock... in 2 hrs, 32 mins World of WarCraft´s new expansion, Cataclysm, was scheduled to release.
Just goes to show that Nerdism is a world wide phenomenon...

Effiel Tower from the Trocadero...

Heather walking in the Luxemburg Gardens...

An Egyptian oblelisk from Luxor, a gift to the King of France from the Ottomans...

More random art, beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
