Don't go chasing waterfalls

After 8 hours of sleepy time heaven, we headed into the jungle.
There are several National parks within throwing distance to Kuching.
To avoid heading home after day two from a silly "I'm new to the jungle and didn't realize that vine was a snake" accident, we decided to baby step it...
8:00am public bus to the Kubah National Park, a small local park, just outside the city and a short hike in and BAM... jungle bliss.

Given it was a Tuesday, there was no one else there, absolutely no one... we had the place to ourselves.
Syed, the park ranger, who couldn't be bothered to wake up, said "Check out the waterfall trail, oh and if you see an Orangutang, don't point anything that looks like a gun at it, tends to spook them..."
REALLY Syed? really?
Well, where I am from, EVERYTHING tends to get spooked if you point something that looks like a gun at it.

With the sound advice in hand, we hit the trail.
A few kilometers and a gnarly climb, we were rewarded with a killer view... no Orangutangs spooked either.

Since we were alone, Heather decided to play Naked and Afraid.

To be clear, Naked and Afraid is a Discovery Channel show, where they drop you, Naked and Afraid in BFE to survive for 21 days... not some freaky "lets mix things up honey" game we play.

A few more kms, and money baby...

So Syed may have been a master of the obvious, but he was not wrong about the waterfall trail, thanks buddy.
