Living large in Kuching

Most of our adventures have been day trips from Kuching.
As a result, we have been spending quite a bit of time in the early morning, late afternoon and evening exploring our little home away from home.
A little pictorial walk through a day in Kuching...
We are staying at a small guest house in Old Chinatown.
The street is super quiet in the morning; most of the places nearby are metal working shops, making tin containers.

It rains every morning, so gotta start the day in a jacket...

.

A short walk down the water front promenade with view of Mount Santubong shrouded in a morning mist.

Breakfast of champions, to go coffee (served in a bag) and a bunch of bananas.

A walk back along the water front, greets the returning fishermen...

and a Dayak tribesman, busking...

and a few locals.

We usually end up at a small tea shop, where Heather sets to work on the next days plan.

Dinner is a collection of things we can't pronounce, but is (usually) awesomely delicious.

which of course, leads to the inevitable tummy issues. Toilets in Asia, the secret to strong thighs.
And yes, no TP, only a bucket, a hose and your left hand.
